For the past year, The Willow has been raising money to renovate the bedrooms at our 28-bed shelter home.
Finally, the time has come to make that dream a reality!!
Our bedrooms currently are furnished with wood bunk beds that do not have ladders. They aren't particularly comfortable or accessible. We have a hodge-podge of dressers and desks that are in disrepair. Our windows need new blinds and the old carpet needs to be replaced with better, updated flooring.
We are making the rooms warmer, more individualized, safer, and more comfortable. Small amenities like plenty of safe outlets and charging stations and individual lighting design help residents stay in a group living environment with as much comfort and autonomy as we can provide.
We will begin the renovations soon, but we have a few needs left. If you can, please designate a gift to the Adopt-a-Bedroom Campaign. We are looking to raise $5000 more dollars to pay for the details such as rugs, blinds, and storage containers.
